When is a good time to visit?

 Kafunta River Lodge is open from April till the end of the year and it is closed during the green season Jan to March. The Luangwa Valley offers different experiences thought the seasons.
The temperatures are pleasant in April, May and August with warm days and comfortable nights. It is dry but the last short rains could be experienced at the start of April.
The winter month June and July, are cool and sometimes cold at night, with warm and pleasant days. June is the coldest month.
September to December brings hot days and warm nights. October is the hottest month.
First occasional rain showers start in November and last though December, before the heavy rains set in from January to March. Rains do not occur daily and never last more than a few hours.
