The efficient Mario is great to be around. A wonderful welcome and a special place to be. All the staff happy to help with cheering smiles they are gentle and friendly. Our guide, Andrew, sp special! He was very knowledgeable and helpful his humour is infectious. The best holiday maybe so far! I will be back for a second.

On our tour through Zambia’s National Parks we found in South Luangwa Valley the most lovely Garden of Eden. Kafunta River Lodge – owners, manager and staff gave us the warmest welcome. Accommodation and food were excellent and Andrew our guide provided us with some unforgettable sightings like the elephant baby, newborn Puku and a colony of crowned cranes and of cause the most beautiful cat on earth – the leopard.

That is perfect, thank you. So after Zambia we went on to Malawi, Uganda and Kenya. People of course ask what was our highlight, and although we hiked in to see the amazing gorillas and chimpanzees we find ourselves saying Kafunta. Its the setting, the style, the ambience, the amazing food, and most of all the personal interest of the staff in what you are doing and seeing, having the company at drinks and dinner of yourself, Ron, Mario or the other managers and of course the great guides, the meet and greet after every game drive, all the attentive staff. Andrew’s knowledge and experience and his friendly nature made every game drive so enjoyable. He picked up on what we like.

I agree with Ann of course but would like to add that the night drives were superb, far better than any others we have been on (even without the sundowners). Also the food was magnificent, taste, presentation, freshness (bread is beautiful) – better than high profile restaurants in Sydney.

A brief email to say how very much Heather and I enjoyed our week with you at Kafunta River Lodge.  This was, as you know, our first holiday in Africa and it exceeded all our expectations.  You are managing a great team at a stand out property.  We were very impressed with everything from the accommodation through the catering to the amazing visits to South Luangwa National Park.  Above all what stands out for us is the quality of the service from everyone we met.  This is a great credit not only to those working at Kafunta but also to your management.Thanks you again and good luck for the future
