Kafunta is an owner run safari lodge and has been our home since 1998.

We have operated for more than 20 years in the Zambian safari industry. Our experience and acute attention to detail is our pride and we will provide an ultimate wilderness safari for you. To ensure the best personalised experience in the Luangwa valley we have many helping hands. Most of our staff has been with us since the beginning; some were even part of the building of the lodge and are members of what we call the Kafunta family.

It goes without saying that naturally we take a great interest in the well being of our staff and their community. At the same time we are also very aware of us living in a precious ecosystem that we need to protect and to preserve. It is our aim to minimise the impact our operation has on this beautiful environment.
